As Christmas approaches, many of us look forward to decking the halls with festive, cheerful decorations. While traditional Christmas decor often includes evergreen wreaths, pinecones and bright ornaments, why not elevate your holiday style this year by incorporating dried flowers in to your Christmas home.
Dried florals bring a rustic, timeless charm to any space, offering a unique twist to the usual decorations. Plus, they're sustainable and long-lasting, making them perfect for the entire winter season
One of the most popular decorations is the wreath, often made from fresh greenery. However, a dried flower wreath can offer a refreshing, elegant alternative. Combine Eucalyptus, pampus grass and bunny tails for a wreath that feels earthy yet festive. Hang this wreath on internal doors and on walls for a welcoming touch of natural beauty.
Add a whimsical, handmade touch to your Christmas tree by incorporating dried flowers in ornaments. You can place small sprigs of dried flowers inside clear baubles for a simple yet sophisticated look. Personalising these baubles with family members names or key life events is a nice way to get the whole family involved in decorating the tree.
Gather materials such as a hoop, dried foliage, floristry tape, wire and and cutters. For the easier option, buy one of our ready made dried flower wreath kits
Divide your foliage and flowers in to 6 of more bunches depending on how full you'd like your wreath to be
Using floristry tape, fix the bunches together
Attach the bunches to the wire hoop with wire, overlapping them slightly to cover up the wire as you go.
Hang a piece of ribbon at the top and decorate with any beads you may have.
