TUI were planning their Christmas retail campaign featuring their Elf on the Shelf characters and wanted to enhance the in-store experience for visiting families. The aim was to create a festive, child-friendly feature that felt engaging and memorable, while also working across multiple stores and within defined campaign budgets.
They approached us to design and produce a bespoke branded workshop that could be easily operated, no mess and easy for the store staff to implement. This workshop was created for children between the ages of 3-10 years old - something that would feel special enough to become part of the overall Christmas experience rather than simply a giveaway.
The project required a balance of creativity, scalability and practicality. The baubles needed to:
With significant quantities required and fixed campaign launch dates, production and logistics were just as important as design.
We worked closely with the TUI team from the initial concept stage to final production, developing a fully bespoke bauble that captured the character and warmth of the campaign while remaining commercially viable at scale.
Careful consideration was given to materials, durability and finish to ensure the decorations felt premium but practical for retail handling. We refined the design through collaborative discussions, ensuring the final product aligned with both the creative brief and budget requirements.
All baubles were individually prepared and packaged so they could be immediately displayed and gifted in store, allowing staff to integrate them seamlessly into the Christmas experience.
The finished decorations became a central feature of TUI’s in-store festive environment. Children were invited to fill their baubles with glitter and make their Christmas wish, creating a hands-on experience and leaving with a personalised keepsake connected to their visit.
The rollout was delivered on schedule despite tight seasonal deadlines and the response from customers was overwhelmingly positive. The baubles helped create a welcoming, magical atmosphere and added a tangible moment of interaction within the retail space.
The project demonstrated how a thoughtfully designed, physical keepsake can strengthen emotional connection and enhance a retail activation - turning a store visit into a memorable experience.

As part of their Christmas guest programme, The Grove partnered with Jo Malone London to create a festive experience that felt elegant, immersive and aligned with both brands. They were looking for an interactive element that would complement their seasonal offering while maintaining the calm, refined atmosphere associated with the hotel.
We were invited to design a creative experience that could translate Jo Malone London’s signature fragrances into something guests could enjoy in a meaningful and memorable way.
This was not a traditional workshop setting. The activity needed to sit naturally within a luxury hospitality environment and feel like an enhancement to the guest journey rather than a scheduled activity.
The experience also had to interpret fragrance - an inherently sensory concept - into a visual and tactile format. Every detail, from the materials to the styling, needed to feel considered, elegant and appropriate for the venue.
Working closely with The Grove team, we created a bespoke bauble-making experience inspired directly by Jo Malone London scents.
Guests first enjoyed their festive afternoon tea before being welcomed into a beautifully prepared workshop space. Materials were carefully arranged alongside the fragrances themselves, encouraging guests to sample the scents and select botanicals that reflected the character and notes of each one.
Using curated dried flowers, pine cones and seasonal foliage, guests designed their own baubles while being gently guided by our team. The atmosphere was relaxed and conversational, allowing guests to engage at their own pace and enjoy a calm creative moment within the festivities.
The styling and presentation were intentionally understated and elegant, ensuring the experience complemented the surroundings and aligned with both brands’ aesthetic.
The workshop became a memorable part of the festive visit, offering guests a tactile and personal experience that extended beyond traditional hospitality.
Guests shared ideas, stories and creativity while crafting decorations inspired by scent, leaving with a bespoke keepsake to take home or gift. The activation created a sense of warmth and ease within the space and provided a lasting reminder of the collaboration.
The project demonstrated how thoughtful creative experiences can support brand storytelling - transforming fragrance into memory and a hotel visit into a multi-sensory occasion.
